See the sights:

Battery Point is a location in Portishead with plenty of history. The remains of its wartime roots is the Portishead Lighthouse, built in 1931. Ships pass by closer to the mainland here than any point along the UKs coast. The spot is a popular dog walking route and home to some stunning views across the Bristol Channel towards Wales.

Sports and leisure:

Portishead Marina is the perfect place to go if you enjoy being out on the water. From the marina there are a number of cruises and fishing boat trips that run almost everyday of the year. You can hire plenty of fishing equipment and try your luck at catching dogfish, rays and cod.


Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is the largest Zoo in the West of England. There are plenty of the favourite zoo animals including Lions, Elephants and Rhinos but also Alpacas, Cattle and Sheep. The attraction also features plenty of entertainment opportunities. The Zoo is home to the largest hedge maze in the UK as well  as a bounce park and splash pool for the little ones to enjoy.
